Lightning Node

I set up a lightning node using a Raspberry Pi 4 and the Umbrel operating system. My node hosts the full Bitcoin blockchain and acts as a verifier within the network. My node also supports Tor connections, and acts as a Tor snowflake to help support privacy on the internet. I don't transact in Bitcoin, but I do support the idea, as well as use lightning apps that give me certain privacy advantages.

SpaceIsDirty.com

A website I built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript (no templates) hosted on my home server with NGINX using the Flask framework. This started as a little experiment to put a website within the Tor network, but quickly became a functioning website for my music recording group. It has mail sending functionality, different styling for mobile with full screen media players, and Let's Encrypt certificates for HTTPS functionality. This was a great opportunity for me to explore server side configuration and securing a web application. The onion address can be found on the "Make Contact" page.

Radio

KN6YCI General class here. As a passionate amateur radio operator and computer scientist, I have many projects involving radio. From shortwave antennas to APRS packet radio, I have explored many facets of the hobby. I hope to include the global HAM radio volunteer repeater network in my future packet radio endeavors as an option for long range internet-less communication within the networks that I build as part of my research.
